Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver / Fine Arts handler for our client based in Bermondsey on a permanent basis.
Monday - Friday
8am - 5pm
£30k - £37k depending on experience
Duties include:
* Proper handling and packing of works of art and securing in truck for safe transport
* Installation/De-Installation of various Fine Art
* Picking up and delivering a variety of artworks including paintings, sculptures and high value furniture of all dscriptions
* Driving a truck, locally and long distance between cities and around Europe
* Inspecting artworks to determine how, where, when, or if to touch them and how to pack for transport
* Understand how to properly wrap, load, span, tie in artworks within a truck to keep them safe and stable during transport
* Efficiently handling paperwork including bills of lading, labelling, timesheets and detailed condition reports with photos
* Communicating with operations team throughout the day
Ideal candidate must have:
* Class 2 HGV licence
* Experience in handling Fine Arts
* Clean driving record
* Have the ability to work comfortably on ladders, scaffolding and/or mechanized lifts
* Professional appearance and demeanour
* Willingness to work around Europe
* Willingness to spend nights away for longer trips
