Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale C: £18,810 to £19,122 pro-rata per annum (£22,737 – £23,114 per annum full time/full year equivalent)
  
Working Weeks: Term Time plus 1 week (39 weeks)

Starting September 2024

Cringleford Prep is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Classroom Assistant to join our team as we open with our first reception intake in September 2024. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the set-up of a brand-new school, and to be a part of its growth journey.

You will be an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about raising achievement through motivating and inspiring students, who will also be fully committed to the vision and values of the school. The role involves supporting children in the classroom and small group interventions to support children to make accelerated progress. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team, following the direction of the teachers, as well as working under your own initiative.
In recruiting for this post, we are looking for candidates who understand that being part of a growing school will require flexibility, creativity and commitment.

The main responsibility of the role will be:

  • To work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff.
  • To work within the overall ethos of the Academy.
  • To undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or EAL (English as an Additional Language).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
  • Experience supporting children with high needs SEND.
  • Experience supporting children with EAL.
  • Experience of working with pupils with behaviour needs.
  • Ability to use a range of relevant technology.

Cringleford Prep is a new purpose-built school in Cringleford and is due to open for the first Reception intake in September 2024. Inspiration Trust was awarded the opportunity to run Cringleford Prep, attesting to the Trust’s profile and track record.
