Salary of £26,694 per annum
Permanent contract, working 35 hours per week

The Role – Cleaning Services Supervisor
Reporting to the Services Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the day-to-day cleaning and caretaking service delivery across the organisation. Managing the cleaners and caretakers whilst building effective partnerships with our residents and colleagues.
You will be supervising and managing the team with full responsibility for the success and safe running of the cleaning and caretaking service providing direction, guidance, training and support to your team to provide an excellent service for customers across multi-site locations. This will involve:
- Efficiently organise, prioritise and schedule tasks for community cleaner/caretakers,
- Responsible for site and employee health and safety, including appropriate risk assessments
- Regular customer contact to ensure we are responsive and adaptable, including site visits, quality auditing and improving compliance and standards.
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders for sites.
- Ensure all site equipment is functional and as required.
- Review and act on and dissatisfaction from residents
- Budgetary responsibility to maintain viability of service and value for money
- Ensure operational cover by planning and organising staffing requirements, with the occasional need to support team to deliver a cleaning/ caretaking service.
- Log, respond to and solve problems that customers are experiencing as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
- Prioritising workload to meet ad hoc service demands / service requirements.
Our Requirements – Cleaning Services Supervisor
- A relevant health and safety qualification
- Experience of working within the cleaning/ maintenance sector preferably for a local authority/registered social landlord or commercial contractor
- Experience of maintaining high health and safety standards within a cleaning/maintenance environment
- Experience in providing relevant cleaning/maintenance solutions to homes.
- Track record of delivering results through engaging and empowering teams to delivery exceptional standards of service
- Detailed understanding of Health and Safety Procedures/Legislation, including COSSH, Legionella control, Fire Safety, incident /accident/near miss reporting
- Awareness of professional boundaries
- Understanding of the support needs of vulnerable people and Safeguarding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic IT skills, including MS office packages.
- Full UK drivers’ licence, drive a works large van up to 3,500kg
- You will demonstrate an ability to be courteous and be able to say basic greetings and pronounce place names accurately in Welsh.
Work requires lifting and carrying and of furniture.
