Post Title:Clerk of Works
Location: Inverness*
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £32,814 – £36,727 p.a.
* This post may be home or office-based dependant on current Government guidance. We are reviewing our office accommodation to determine best use, taking into account staff preferences and their requirements. Work location will remain under review.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

JobPurpose: The post holder will be responsible for undertaking Clerk of Works duties associated with the Scottish Government’s Energy Efficiency Scotland: Area Based Scheme (EES:ABS). This is a long-term programme to support the national improvements in line with Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009 and statutory duties for the Council.
To provide a high quality, customer focused Clerk of works service ensuring that statutory requirements and the policies of the Highland Council, where they relate to the construction, modernisation, inspection and maintenance of both Council and other agency properties are properly and effectively complied with.

Requirements
- Suitable experience in new build/refurbishment/construction/property maintenance/domestic retrofit.
- Educated to HNC in a relevant discipline, relevant experience at a suitable level.
- Working towards Corporate membership of an appropriate professional body such as MCIOB /MICWCI.
- Valid driving licence.
