My client is a professional property management company based in Scotland and Ireland, they have been meeting their clients’ needs for over 180 years. They manage developments, buildings and outside spaces that are jointly owned. They take an individual approach to each development, so whether it’s cutting the grass, general repairs or full management of a block of properties, they have the skills and experience to ensure residents/clients get the most from their home.
Due to continued growth they seek to appoint a Client Account Manager to join their team in Belfast. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all client bank accounts are accurate and up to date and all payments/receipts from each individual has been allocated to the correct Client Account.
Reporting to the Director you will have responsibility for Client Accounts, Administration and Systems, you’ll also work closely with and support Client Relationship Managers providing information on finances that is presented at AGM’s and client meetings.
You will have responsibility for looking after the finances of a portfolio of developments in a timely, accurate and professional manner, duties include: -
-Process billing of each development on a monthly basis.
-Respond to all financial queries from clients adhering to the client charter.
-Manage Credit Control process, pursue outstanding client invoices.
-Manage and reconcile Development Bank Accounts, monitor Direct Debits.
-Manage and reconcile Client Accounts, Insurance Payments and electricity contracts.
-Maintain diarised (recurring) charges.
-Pay suppliers/contractors, process BACS payments and associated inter-account transfers.
-Generate and process sales invoices.
-Process credit/debit card and cheque payments from clients.
-Manage the hold file to ensure data is released on a timely basis.
-Calculate and complete annual income/expenditure and budget updates on request.
-Work collaboratively with other members of the Client Accounts Team to ensure that all tasks are completed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required.
-Proactively suggest improvements and changes to any process or system and share best practice.
The Candidate
You will have the ability and desire to build strong and trusting relationships with clients and staff. As a natural planner you will organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines and be adept at managing a large volume of small tasks. You enjoy getting every detail right and have a methodical and careful way of working. You are consistent and persistent when it takes time to resolve issues, you take pride in your work.

SKILLS
You will have previous accounting and administrative work experience, ideally hold an accountancy qualification. You work well in a team environment and can prioritise excellent client service. You’ll be a natural communicator whether face-to-face of over the phone and be a competent writer of business letters. You will have a detailed working experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Attractive starting salary of £25,000 - £35,000 dependent on ability and experience. 29 days holiday, company pension. Working hours Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm, 4pm finish on Friday based in smart offices near Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter.
