Role Overview: They are seeking a skilled Client Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping, management accounting, and VAT for our diverse client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a thriving team in a rapidly expanding practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Perform regular bookkeeping duties, including transaction recording and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Liaise with clients to gather financial information and provide updates.
- Offer financial advice and support to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within a large accountancy practice.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Excel.
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT) are preferred but not essential.
