About the role

As a Transport Support Officer you will be assisting in arranging transport for multiple users across the county, primarily focused on our CallConnect on demand bus service but also provided support to our School Transport service and the administration of ENCTS national scheme for residents across Lincolnshire.

Taking varying calls for all transport related issues within a relaxed but busy office environment, you will be trained with the knowledge required to give the residents of Lincolnshire expert advice on what is available. Working within a hybrid team, learning from and assisting colleagues to deliver an exceptional service to the public of Lincolnshire. 

This role will allow some hybrid working but predominantly will be in our offices in Lincoln. Working hours of Monday to Friday 06.30 – 19.00 and Saturday 07.30 – 18.00 on a adhoc rota basis.

Transport Services is part of the Council’s Place Directorate and is responsible for developing and delivering passenger transport solutions across Lincolnshire for more than 20,000 passengers daily.

We enable passengers to travel to and from school and other places of education, for social care reasons and we provide a demand responsive CallConnect bus service to connect communities across the county.

The team also manages the county’s local bus and community transport network, alongside supporting the development of Sustainable Travel.

Hybrid working is a feature of this role. The successful applicant will be required to work in the office alongside the rest of the team for a minimum of 4 days a week, which may be 5 days a week dependent on the demands of the service.
