Cobalt is working with a small boutique landlord who is looking to bring in a Client / Service Charge Accountant to provide support to the team in ensuring the smooth running of all financial aspects relating to the commercial portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing Service Charge expenditure and investigate variances against budget for a specified portfolio.

• Communicating effectively with Building Managers and head office staff to ensure timely delivery of monthly reports to Directors.

• Hold regular meetings with Building Managers to discuss variances/open commitments & forecasting.

• Administration and assistance of the year end reconciliation process and audit.

• Preparation of Service Charge budgets and calculation of Service Charges for tenants. Attend monthly budget meetings with budget holders and provide reporting on monthly variances.

• Monthly reconciliation of control accounts.

• Monthly review and reconciliation of quarterly income & Internal voids.

• Reconciliation of SC reporting Vs TB to ensure consistency in reporting across the business.

• Review (Internal) Insurance process for property portfolio.

What we require of you:

• Experience of at least 5-10+ years in a Service Charge accounting background within a Property Management environment is essential.

• Experience using Qube is a must. Please do not apply if you haven't used Qube.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong data analysis skills.

• Good Excel skills.

• Possess good communication skills.

• A forward thinker and planner.
