The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our London Youth Practice team, in the Youth Impact domain. The Admin Manager will be working within a passionate and committed team, and under the line management of the Area Manager, although the role responsibilities will span our services in London.
The role supports the management of our service portfolio, working collaboratively with teams, supporting and enabling them to report and interpret their information effectively; and undertaking work to ensure contract compliance across London.
We are currently looking for a highly organised and conscientious person to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
A key part of this role will be your ability to:
-support operational management of the services, including local contract and financial management
-support managers locally with service user record administration in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures
-undertake data quality checks and performing correction activities, including extracting data from information systems and collating information for reports.
You will be supporting the operational management of the services in London. Therefore, this role requires a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail to ensure the safe and accurate processing of information and data from our systems.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-High level of confidentiality and attention to detail
-Proficient IT skills including significant experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems
-Strong self-management and organisation skills
-Problem solving and analytical skills
-Experience in the delivery of a range of data collation, interrogation and administration tasks
-Budget management and financial planning
The Children's Society runs over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need our support, and we campaign to get laws and policies changed to make children's lives happier and safer.
Every day we're changing the lives of children in this country for the better - and with your help, tomorrow we can be there for even more.
The Children's Society is committed to safeguarding and protecting the children and young people that we work with. As such, all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services.
Therefore, candidates applying for work in our Youth Impact Domain will be required to complete an “Employment history_template” document prior to interview. The fully completed document should be loaded by the candidate at the point of uploading your CV.
The closing date for applications is 21st December 2023. If, after 14 days, we have received enough applications we reserve the right to close the vacancy from 3rd January 2024 onwards.
Interview dates w/c 5th February 2024.
If you would like an informal chat about the role, please contact Lucy Belcher (Area Manager) on 07960 106152 or [email protected]
