About the Role

Rochford PCN has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Auditor/administrator to join our busy support team, on a full time basis for 37.5 hours per week. You will be providing clinical audit support to the network member practices and monitoring the progress of audits undertaken in the PCN. You will also provide data to the wider population health clinicians for actioning and you will be required to set up databases/spreadsheets for the collection of audit data as well as running reports directly from SystmOne and obtaining data from other NHS data sources (NHS Digital, Public Health England etc).

The main aspects of the role include:

  • Checking the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data entered into a database or spreadsheet for a clinical audit.
  • Assisting clinical staff in analysing audit data appropriately so that the level of compliance with best practice can be determined and the results used to prompt changes in practice as necessary.
  • Recording progress of clinical audit activity on the PCN database systems ensuring that there is a detailed, timely and accurate record of all allocated projects. This will include evidence of improvements achieved through clinical audit.
  • Attending speciality clinical audit meetings as required and any other local or regional audit meetings pertaining to clinical audit as requested by the PCN manager or clinical director.

  • Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.

Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
