About the Role
Colchester Medical Practice are looking to appoint a Clinical Coder and QOF administrator to join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team, on a part time basis for 20-25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We operate across 5 sites, this role will be based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre.
Your main duties and areas of responsibility will be:
- Coding clinical documents accurately and within a 48 hour timescale.
- Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following practice protocol.
- Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions, following practice protocol.
- Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocating QOF clinical indicators, achieving targets for the practice.
About the Candidate
The qualities we are looking for to fulfil this role include:
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace.
- Ability to manage your own workload, but have the support of the coding/QOF team and line manager.
- A team player, flexible and able to cover when team members are on annual leave or sick.
- Candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS Web clinical system, would be preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates with NHS or primary care experience in similar roles.
