Description
· Influence strategy, policy and operational management within the Procurement team
· High degree of tact, diplomacy and sensitivity when managing a high-level workload, monitoring performance
· Lead and manage the Procurement projects within the pathology department
· Deliver strategic procurement advice and guidance to the department
· Develop strong business relationships with the Directorate Senior Leadership Teams
· Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure value for money
· Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and guidelines.
· Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation
· Develop and implement new ways of working, new standard operating procedures and ensuring that agreed
Profile
A successful Clinical Projects Lead:
- Experience in managing procurement operations, preferably within a health care or pathology setting
- Line management experience
- Led on a large scale procurement project - Clinical or Managed Services
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of procurement legislation and guidelines
- Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills practice is established consistently within the wider Procurement Team
