Clinical Psychologist
Service Care Solutions are supporting a charity and they require a Clinical Psychologist with extensive knowledge of working with Substance Misuse or Mental Health Services.
The Candidate will be expected to Lead a psychologically informed approach to interventions, to support individuals throughout their treatment journey and to support the development and growth of a greater psychological approach to treatment of substance misuse within
LOCATION: West Yorkshire
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
DURATION: 6 months
PAY RATE: £55 - £60 (Negotiable depending on experience)
Clinical Psychologist Duties
- Provide specialist psychological assessment of service users referred for treatment of addiction.
- Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of service user's psychological problems, based on a mult-factorial understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
- Undertake a range of psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities (individual, family and group) adapted and tailored to the needs of the individual and the context and ongoing evaluation of outcomes of the intervention.
- Exercise autonomous professional judgement and responsibility for the psychological management of service users on own case load.
Clinical Psychologist Requirements
- Degree in Psychology, accredited by BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent - Essential
- Doctorate in clinical psychology approved by the HPC (or equivalent) accredited by BPS - Desired
- Experience or a demonstrative interest in substance misuse and addiction work. - Essential
