Job description


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Research Midwifery Team. The successful applicant will screen, recruit and follow-up participants within clinical trials. The appointee will work directly under the Senior Research Midwife and be responsible for their own portfolio of trials. All training will be given.
Main base will be located in the Clinical Research centre in RGH, but travel will be expected to other sites within the Health Board.
The main purpose of this role is to increase the number of maternity and obstetric patients in clinical trials at ABUHB.
The post will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for women participating in clinical trials.
This post will include recruiting women to trials, education, monitoring of patients and the collection and documentation of accurate data.
The post will assess and carry out clinical procedures for patients/participants and will be considered part of the clinical team .
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
