JOB DESCRIPTION CLINICAL TRAINER IN HEATLH AND SOCIAL CARE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trainer role. The purpose of this role will be to train all employees who will be undertaking work with children and young people across services. The trainer will deliver training across a variety of areas in order to support the clinical services across the organisation. This will assist in the delivery of the Reunification Model of Intervention with children and young people. The training will span across the delivery of psychological domains covering mental health, learning disabilities, pervasive development disorders, family assessment and intervention, psychological interventions, psychosocial interventions, etc. The training will sit within the domain of therapeutic parenting and dyadic developmental interventions.

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year (Starting salary will be dictated by qualifications and experience)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To assist in the development and implementation of training programmes and coaching across services within the organisations.
  • To make sure that staff within the services are suitably qualified to satisfy the immediate and future needs of our children and young people in our care.
  • To make sure the business meets Ofsted and legal requirements and provide training that will train, induct, manage and deliver the ongoing training of all staff in accordance with our standards, policies and procedures, Ofsted requirements, relevant regulations and legislation and in line with accepted best practice protocols.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver training and coaching across the organisation. This will be a blended approach of both face-to-face delivery and virtual delivery.
  • Manage and implement individual and business training plans for all staff.
  • Coordinate training programmes and schedules
  • Attend services to carry out care worker competencies where applicable
  • Plan, prepare and deliver induction and other training for staff
  • Promote anti-discriminatory practice and brand values during induction and further training in line with all policies and procedures
  • Draw upon a range of methods to support staff to learn about best care practice, to keep their skills and knowledge up to date and to continue their professional development
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes
  • Build positive working relationships with staff and other professionals to continually grow the training arm of the business
  • Liaise with the Clinical Lead to make sure staff receive appropriate induction training and ongoing support and to address any performance related matters in relation to their role with training provided
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records relating to training and development
  • Keep own practice and knowledge up to date through research, meetings and attending courses
  • Ensure that all staff mandatory training is provided and documented.
  • Be responsible for the upkeep and servicing requirements of our equipment
  • Participate in the evaluation of the company's training and development needs against agreed organisational goals, business, and quality objectives
  • Work to establish effective employer-employee relationships and create and uphold a positive working culture
  • Work with other managers within company to ensure staff attend training as required.
  • Delivering training courses within the time allocated with good time management
  • Prepare course material and training room in advance of each training course
  • Keep accurate records of training attendance, work, successful attendees and issue certificates
  • Make up training packs as required.

Please note you must hold the relevant qualifications to deliver and teach training for the Health and Social Care sector with an emphasis on psychological practice. An enhanced DBS is required for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year (Starting salary will be dictated by qualifications and experience)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Sometimes weekend work may be required
  • You will be expected to cover a large geographic area of delivering training

Education:

  • Degree Level (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Training delivery minimum of 2 years
  • Health and Social Care: minimum of 2 years
  • Working with children and young people: minimum of 2 years
  • Driving license is essential

You will be line managed by the Clinical Lead.
