Job description

Job summary Applications are welcomed for the post of a Clinical Trial Co-ordinator within the Imperial College Memory Research Centre within the Department of Brain Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and Imperial College London. The Centre is led by Professor Paul Edison, and the research focusses upon Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, and other causes of dementia and cognitive impairment. The unit utilises state-of-the-art techniques in PET and MRI basic and translation imaging to evaluate novel therapeutic targets and novel microglial agents in Phase I, II and III studies of dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other forms of mild cognitive impairment Duties and responsibilities Performing neuropsychometric evaluation and other assessments of the patients and many aspects of day-to-day management of the intervention and observational study at Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and other NHS trusts and working closely with the external consultants etc. The Co-ordinator will liaise closely with the Principal Investigator, implementing and adapting established imperial College systems to ensure the trial is developed and conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards. There will be opportunity to help with the set-up of new interventional and observational studies and opportunity to learn about all the regulatory aspects of the study. Essential requirements The successful candidate will have a degree in psychology or equivalent speciality. Experience of the audit process is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The post holder will also have the flexibility to travel and work out of hours on occasion when travelling to and from sites and as and when necessary.
