Cloud Engineer

*12 Month FTC*

The role:

This role is a 12-month FTC initially, you will be a part of the EMEA region and be part of the team that architect and implements new solutions. The role will be heavily involved in developing strategic solutions across Cloud and On-Prem platforms. This role is going to be developing and progressing the DevOps culture throughout the global estate and focusing on the automation of manual activities. 

• Support the creation and establishment of new development tools and infrastructure
• Leveraging expertise in CI/CD, Cloud technologies, Container Orchestration, and Security.
• Construct and validate comprehensive CI/CD pipelines to safeguard systems from security threats.
• Windows Server to provide tier 3 support to the existing on-premises Windows infrastructure.
• Deploying solutions both into Microsoft Azure and on-premises Data Centres.

You will be working in a matrix team structure reporting to the  Infrastructure Manager. You will need to be able to communicate with senior stakeholders within the business and mentor apprentices who join the team.

Key skills required:

 Microsoft Azure OR equivalent in AWS

• Network: Virtual Networks, Virtual WANs, Checkpoints.
• Compute Virtual Machines, Availability Sets, and ASR.
• Security: CIS Benchmark, Key Vaults, MS Defender

On-Premise

• VMWare 6.7, VMWare Site Recovery Manager (SRM), Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory, Group Policy, and HPE Server Infrastructure.
• Experience in troubleshooting technical problems involving software and operating systems.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Terraform.
• Scripting: PowerShell and bash.

This role will be a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with opportunities across the business throughout the duration.

You must be fully eligible to work in the UK and be able to travel into the office on occasion
