Cloud FinOps - Senior Finance Manager
In this role you will provide financial direction, control and support to the FinOps, Data & AI and Architecture teams to ensure delivery of robust financial plans and benefits whilst maintaining governance and reporting. Specifically, you will support the FinOps team to produce an accurate annual plan which will underpin the critical Digital and pan-BT objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring the relevant stakeholders understand and are held accountable to this plan and the benefits in the business case are met or exceeded.
You will bring the right financial tools and frameworks for identifying and assessing the allocation of Cloud costs to the units which generate them, and make cost optimising decisions to ensure we control costs and meet our objectives.
- Finance lead in building the MTP (annual plan) for FinOps across GCP, AWS and Azure
- Develop and iterate the cloud business case measuring performance over time
- Provide analysis and presentational materials to support the consolidation process for the monthly outlook and annual planning exercise for optimising Cloud costs
- Explain variances and recommend course correcting measures
- Develop the efficiency and integrity of the Cloud forecasts
- Ensure benefits are accurately sized and tracked throughout the year and stakeholders are held to account for their delivery
- Ensure monthly management reporting information is provided in a timely and accurate manner
- Lead on the development and implementation of additional reporting and forecasting requirements across the Cloud platforms
- Drive effective behaviour within the Business Units to deliver the plan; Develop spend governance and chargeback models
- Support the development of the offshore colleagues who collaborate closely with the role
- Deliver training and coaching to upskill the rest of the Finance Business Partnering team in FinOps and Cloud Financials
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience managing Cloud costs and partnering with a FinOps team within a large organisation
- A track record of effectively influencing senior stakeholder
- Strength of driving a customer centric approach in all financial processes
- Experience of financial management and delivery of improved financial performance
