SR2 are supporting one of our most-loved Bristol clients with an exciting new hire, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong Sysadmin/3rd line support background to join their close-knit Infrastructure team in the incredible city of Bristol.
This is an opportunity for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, who has been around the block with sysadmin and 3rd line support roles. You will have a strong understanding of working with Linux, networking, virtualisation, and Cloud (this is not a role for someone with a dev background who has learned AWS, very much a role for an infrastructure person).
If you're looking for a hybrid working role in Bristol, working alongside a highly collaborative team who are getting their hands on a real variety of technologies from Linux to VMware, to AWS and/or Azure administration then you'll love this opportunity.
The support team are 15+ people, they have a social culture where they often go for team lunches, bowling evenings, escape rooms and pub trips together so if that sounds like the sort of team, you'd like to be a part of them please apply for this role.
Here are some of the important things we are looking for in this role…
Suitable experience for this opportunity:
- You've been working within the IT industry for almost a decade doing various support and infrastructure focused work (ideally 10+ years)
- Highly experienced in Sysadmin/3rd line infrastructure support
- Strong understanding and skills with Linux, networking, virtualisation, Cloud
- 2+ years of recent AWS and/or Azure administration for the core services - VPC, EC2, RDS, S3
Some other important things we are needing in this role:
- Able to get to the office within 1 hour, and happy to regularly attend the office 2 or 3 days a week (more is fine)
- Happy to attend the office for the first few months for 5 days per week to complete training (could be less if they pick things up quickly and would likely taper down from 5 after the first month)
- Eligible for SC clearance
Don't miss out on this opportunity to join a thriving, growing business with a people first culture!
