We are currently looking for a candidate to join us in the role of Cluster Sales and Group Co-ordinator reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales.
This cluster role is to support the Sales Manager and Director of Sales in two exciting hotels - Aloft and Hilton Aberdeen. Both hotels are located on the site of The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA). This role will also provide you with the opportunity to engage and work closely with all teams across both hotels.
We hire mostly on personality potential but here are a few of our requirements...
Experience in hospitality would be beneficial but is not required
- Experience of the following systems would be beneficial but is not required – Delphi / Salesforce / OnQ / Opera
- Eager to learn and develop in the hospitality industry
- The ability to liaise and work as part of a team
- Have a great personality and be genuine, approachable, attentive and instinctive
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to be “the best” with high standards and attention to detail
- Good proven organisation and planning skills gained through previous experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating group contracts and Group booking links for clients
- Inputting group rooming lists into the reservation systems
- Completing local rate agreements and keeping the corporate rate trackers up to date
- Completing system and GDS rate loading
- Attend networking and sales events with the sales team
- Assist with creation of social media content
- Assist with replying to social media messages
- Support with the creation and promotion of hotel offers packages
- Review and update the commercial plan
- Organisation of Purchase Orders for the Sales Team
Where Will You Be Working?
Your new role of Cluster Sales and Group Co-ordinator will see you working across both Hilton Aberdeen and Aloft Hotel Aberdeen on the site of The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA).
Hilton Aberdeen – this 200-bedroom hotel includes an executive lounge and up to 8 meeting rooms of variable size to complement the outstanding facilities of the adjoining conference centre. The hotel also has a cocktail bar, Quarter House Restaurant, fitness centre, wet leisure and spa facilities.
The brand new 150-bedroom Aloft Hotel is located just north of the Hilton Hotel that adjoins TECA. Designed by architects Cooper Cromar, with interiors by Twenty2Degrees, the new Aloft Hotel is the first of its kind in Scotland and features a WXYZ bar, RE:MIX lounge and gym.
