What does the job involve?
Ensuring the best manufacturing techniques are carried out within the Integrex Machine Shop by practical application of the most appropriate methods of programming, setting and operation of the machine tools and to stimulate an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week.
Core shift - Monday to Thursday 6.45am to 3.30pm and Friday 7.00am to 1.00pm with 30-minute break for lunch
CNC Machinist - Integrex - What will my responsibilities include?’
- Programming, setting, and operating as required, all machines within the cell.
- Ensuring that the methods, tooling, and fixtures used to effectively achieve a cost-effective quality product in accordance with the production requirements.
- Monitoring the process during manufacture to ensure total process control is maintained.
- Ensuring an energetic pursuit of improved methods.
- Ensuring that the required Quality standards are achieved by strict adherence to the relevant company procedures.
- Ensuring that high standards of safety and housekeeping are maintained within the manufacturing area.
- Ensuring that preventative maintenance schedules are strictly carried out.
- The Maintenance of CNC Programs, tooling and fixturing records within the cell.
- Ensuring that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current practice.
- Ensuring that CNC programs are regularly backed up to a safe location.
CNC Machinist - Integrex - What key skills and experience do I need?
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working on Mill-Turn work centers, within a high precision manufacturing environment.
- Wide ranging manufacturing process
- knowledge, across differing materials in
- varying applications
- Experience of working to engineering
- drawings or work instructions i.e. Job Cards
- Knowledge of how to machine, handle and protect all types of manufactured components
- Experience and ability to program, set and operate different machine tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings with a high-level understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances.
- Programming Mazak controls – (Desirable)
- Experience on Integrex E-Tower E650, Integrex i400, 200Y, 400Y, 300IV. (Desirable)
- Working on large components with the use of a steady. (Desirable)
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety (Desirable)
- CNC Programming both “On” and or “Off” line. (Desirable)
- Basic computer skills, i.e Microsoft Word, Excel. (Desirable)
CNC Machinist - Integrex - What qualifications should I have?
- Basic O’ Level / GCSE Qualifications, technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ).
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
- Security Clearance (Desirable)
