Cnc Machinist

Hello,
My client specialises in bespoke machines and small batch items predominately used within the pharmaceutical and food industries. They are currently in need of a CNC Machinist to join their team based in Bodmin.
Job Role: To operate CNC machines and produce high-precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC manual lathes and mills, preferably familiar with XYZ machines. The right candidate will also have a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work with various materials to meet quality and production standards.
• 39 Hour Week working 7am to 4:15pm, Mon to Thurs
• Half Day Friday, 7am to 12:15 pm

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate NC/CNC machines to produce parts efficiently and accurately.
• Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections to verify the quality and precision of machined parts.
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure proper machine functionality.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including tool changes, maintenance, and quality checks.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet production goals and resolve technical issues.

Person Specification

• Experience with XYZ Machines
• Experience with Manual Lathes and Mills
• Able to set and operate

The salary for this role is GBP25k - GBP28k per annum.
