Brightwork are pleased to be recruiting for CNC Machinists on behalf of our Engineering client based in Elgin on a full time, permanent basis.
Working with this client, duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manually handle and move raw material in preparation for machining
- Manually prepare raw material for machining
- Understand the key functions of the machinery ,including:
1.Initial switch on/off.
2. Ability to perform the correct sequence for a 'Zero Return'.
3. Correctly set and adjust Machine 'Jaws'
4. Correctly set and adjust Machine 'Tools'
5. Complete correct sequence and production of 'Offsets' OD & ID
6. Download the correct program for the required component part
7. Ensure Tools are brought to the correct position
8. Using Single Block - Rapid Down
- Carry out machining task as required / instructed
- Ability to Read and understand Engineering Drawings
- Carry out basic inspection of machine parts
- Complete all relevant production paperwork as required
- After machining store completed parts in a manner that will ensure they are not damaged before being moved to the next operation
- Maintain the immediate working environment in a clean and tidy manner
Successful candidates will have experience within a similar role and will have an awareness of safety around machinery and the general work area. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is also required, alongside excellent communication skills.
The role is Monday-Thursday 0745-1645 and Friday 0745-1400 with overtime opportunities for interested candidates. This is a full time, permanent role and is an excellent opportunity to join a business with vast expansion plans.
