As a CNC Programmer, you will be working as part of an integrated D&M team responsible for producing high-value one-off wind tunnel model components to quality, time and budget, in accordance with project manufacturing tolerances and schedules.
Your responsibilities will include:
Off-line CNC milling (3 and 5 axis) programming using Delcam, Powermill and Powershape
Importing geometry, modelling supports/fixtures, and establishing tooling and clamping sequences
Creating optimum cutter paths, determining speeds and feeds and posting programs
On-line programming, setting and operating CNC machines (3, 4 and 5 axes) using Heidenhein.
To apply for this CNC Programmer role, you will need to be proficient writing off-line milling programmes using Delcam PowerMill and PowerShape (2018 and 2019). You will also require knowledge of all the areas listed above in the task descriptions.
