The responsibilities of the CNC Programmer role are as follows:
- Programming, setting & operating CNC Machines
- Offline programming using CAD/CAM
- Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
- Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
The skills required to fulfil the role of CNC Programmer are as follows:
- Apprenticeship level or above / equivalent experience
- CADCAM programming (5 axis Milling)
- Tool & fixture designs
