The Role:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including program adjustments, tool changes, and machine calibrations to ensure accurate production
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to understand the machining process required for each product.
- Conduct first-off inspections and regular quality checks to ensure that products meet strict quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimise machining processes and improve productivity.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or machining would be advantageous.
