Cnc Setter Operator Nights

InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter / Operator to join our client based in Tamworth, reporting to the night shift supervisor.

Objective of the CNC Setter / Operator:

• Providing night support to Disc Cell.
• Setting and operating 2 and 3 Axis Lathes and Milling Machines (Doorsan).

The duties of the CNC Setter / Operator:

• Operating and run programs.
• Adjust work, correct errors.
• Carry out inspection from engineering drawings.
• Ensure the cell output is made to agreed schedules.
• Liasise with all other areas as/when required.
• Carry out any duties within capability inlcuding working in other areas.

The ideal CNC Setter / Operator:

• Must be able to set and operate CNC machinery to produce parts and inspect at required standard.
• Strong background knowledge of turning and milling machines.
• Can-do attitude, flexible approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to use variety of measuring equipment.
• Fanuc control experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Computer/IT Literate.

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 22:00 to 06:00.
• Friday: 18:00 - 02:00
• Overtime when required.
• Possible weekend working.

The salary for the position is 28,154 per annum, plus a shift allowance. This will be discussed on telephone interview stage.
