Are you an experienced CNC Vertical Lathe Turner? Metalis has an exciting opportunity to join our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Leicester, as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner. If you have a strong skill set a good understanding of aerospace manufacturing requirements, this could be the perfect role for you.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the accurate and efficient machining of components to meet our client's stringent quality standards.
Job Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC Vertical Lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload workpieces, select and install tooling, and make necessary machine adjustments.
- Monitor machine performance, conduct quality checks, and make adjustments as needed to ensure product conformity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner with a focus on setting and operating ideally with an Aerospace background.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling selection.
- Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Salary & Hours:
- Salary: £15.50 per hour + £6 per hour shift allowance. £52,000+ per annum!
- Monday - Thursday - Nights 18:00pm - 06:00am
- Location: Leicester
- Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
