Job Role: This particular role is based within Wallsall. The Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection will:
- Ensure Local Authority provides quality social work and review services for children in need of protection or who are looked after
- Chair Child Protection conferences and reviews in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance
- Develop and review Child Protection and care plans to ensure good outcomes for children
- Provide consultation to the wider service and partner agencies on Child Protection and care planning
- Promote fair access to services and ensure services consider cultural and linguistic backgrounds of children and families
- Maintain health and safety standards and promote a positive public image of the Council's children's services
- Work within professional ethics and disciplines of social work
- Influence partner agencies to provide quality services and collaborate with them to ensure multi-agency assessment and planning
- Contribute to the development of practice frameworks and decision-making regarding budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure children and young people's voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes
- Provide guidance and support to social work staff and participate in service planning and review processes
- Conduct case audits and resolve issues where a child's needs are not met
- Ensure statutory requirements are met and contribute to data management and reporting
- Chair meetings effectively and make complex decisions regarding children's service provision
- Manage workload effectively and promote effective communication internally and externally
- Pursue personal and professional development to progress in career development
Sirona Medical will be providing the Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection to a Local Authority.
This is a full time vacancy inside IR35, 37 hours per week for 3 months initially.
As a Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection, you must have a degree in Social Work, recent management/leadership experience.
To act in accordance with Social Work England registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.
Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social Work are essential to apply for this role, recent experience in working in similar team is also essential.
