Thirty years ago we began running trains out of Bodmin General . As a premier Tourist Attraction in the heart of Cornwall we are one of the country’s finest heritage railways who needs help in our Cornish Rail Coffee Company business.
We are very excited to announce we are expanding the business to the busy location of St Erth, as well as our most recent outlet based in Penzance, just outside the mainline station.
You need to be a morning person , as its early shifts. The opening times are from 0630 to 1600 which may vary slightly in the winter season. We are looking to recruit two or three staff members who can work to cover the 7 day trading. The working patterns can be flexible and can be discussed at interview stage.
The ideal candidate would be open to working in both coffee outlets, or be situated in one place with flexibility to cover holiday/sick leave in the alternative Coffee Shop.

General Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe and proper manner with due regard for yourself, your work colleagues and the public. Be polite, courteous and helpful to staff and customers alike at all times
- Work to BWR safe systems of work
- Setting up, operating and cashing up the till
- Undertaking the preparation of the food and beverages served in the Coffee Shop
- Cleaning the kitchen, Coffee Shop area
- Stock ordering and liaising with suppliers
- Washing up
- Ensuring that the Coffee Shop environment is pleasant and welcoming
- Reporting maintenance issues to the Catering Manager
- Maintaining such records as are required by the Catering Manager
- Ensuring that any relevant paperwork is completed as per guidelines
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
