We are looking for a Collections Conservation Assistant for North London to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 36 hours per week.

As our Collections Conservation Assistant for North London you will be responsible for the conservation cleaning of historic artefacts and interiors, including planning and completion of conservation cleaning schedules for historic interiors, collections and stores at Kenwood, Chiswick and Marble Hill houses.
The Collections Conservation team is responsible for the professional care and conservation of historic artefacts, interiors and wall paintings in the care of English Heritage.
You will work closely with the Collections Conservator - London, as well as the Historic Properties teams at sites. You will also be responsible for maintenance of environmental monitoring and control equipment and other aspects of preventive conservation. You will provide training and support to site staff and volunteers relating to preventive conservation and provide on-going support through visits, email and over the phone.
To be considered as the Collections Conservation Assistant, you will need:
- experience of undertaking conservation housekeeping work for historic house collections and historic environments
- an awareness of other preventive conservation and collection care activities in historic house or museum settings.
This post will be based at Kenwood House, Hampstead Lane, London, NW3 7JR with regular travel to Chiswick House and Marble Hill, typically three days at Kenwood with one at each Chiswick House and Marble Hill per week.
