This is an exciting time to join the University of St Andrews Libraries & Museums as a Collections Officer. The Unit is currently at the planning stages of an ambitious development of its digital services, beginning with a procurement of a new Library Management System. The post holder will take an active part in the development of this project, focusing on collections management services, for example Click & Collect. We are seeking to appoint an organised, highly methodical Team Lead to ensure the effective day-to day management of the Library Collections Management Team, including the active management of the physical Library collections and ongoing review of accepted donations. With a good general education, the successful candidate will have experience of working in a library environment in a supervisory capacity, an understanding of the value of data to support effective decision making and a commitment to excellent customer service to ensure effective access and use of resources.
