Job description

The role This role represents an exciting opportunity to join a small but dedicated team of print professionals providing services to departments, schools, students and members of the public. The successful applicant will join the colour team concentrating on operating high speed digital production presses and wide format equipment, though the expectation will be to assist in all areas of the department as needs arise. The role is varied and rewarding, but can include working under pressure at times to meet strict and tight deadlines. Some flexibility with working hours is therefore necessary and expected. What will you be doing? You will be required to process jobs submitted via email and our web2print portals, ensuring all relevant information has been provided and liaise with customers to clarify points where necessary. This is a customer facing role, so at all times it is essential to provide a friendly and professional service. You will liaise with customer using MS Teams, via the telephone and also face to face with those who visit the department. The department has a number of digital production presses and wide format equipment. Under the supervision of the Colour Supervisor, you will be responsible for taking the supplied documents, preparing them for print and submitting them to the appropriate print queues. A high attention to detail is essential to ensure quality is maintained at all stages.
