An established commercial insurance broker in Shrewsbury is actively seeking an experienced Commercial/SME Account Handler to join their expanding team. Due to unprecedented growth, this fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven professional to develop their career in a rewarding environment.

Role: Commercial Account Handler
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Bonus

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will work closely with Account Executives, managing commercial/SME client accounts and attending client visits. This role offers a clear development path to an Executive position, as well as the chance to work with a motivated team in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular contact with existing clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met
• Collaborate with managers to establish work targets and forecasts
• Work closely with Account Executives to ensure high client satisfaction
• Maintain accurate client files, notes, and documentation
• Comply with FCA Principles for Business and internal procedures
• Assist the Broking team with London Market presence and Lloyds placements

Requirements:

• Experience as an Account Handler in any industry
• Proficiency with Acturis or similar systems
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to build relationships with clients and underwriters
• Excellent communication skills (telephone, verbal, and written)
• Aptitude for selling, cross-selling, and rapport building
