Cluster - Associate

About The Role

The Commercial Change (EC&P) team is responsible for ensuring the thorough testing, prior to implementation of system changes across a variety of EC&P applications.

As part of the Business Sustaining change workstream, the Test Analyst will assist the team in analysing requirements to produce test scripts and carry out testing of developments prior to release in to production. This is a great opportunity if you are analytically focused with attention to detail and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Full training will be provided and this will be a fantastic platform to learn new skills and to experience being a part of a passionate team and an integral part of the change function.

The team plays an instrumental part in system changes delivered into the business. As a Commercial Change Test Analyst, you’ll be actively involved in planning, preparing and executing user acceptance tests (UAT) for changes that impact the full range of software applications.
As the business relies upon this team for preserving the integrity of the systems that help to deliver day-to-day operational service, the role carries significant responsibility. Applicants must have the credibility and self-confidence to build relationships with staff at all levels of the business and the ability to take ownership of the many novel issues that will fall to them to resolve.

Key accountabilities:
  • Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test scripts
  • Attending meetings with business stakeholders, developers and end-users to gather information and clarify requirements to support testing
  • Liaising with developers on defect resolution
  • Maintaining and developing knowledge of Allianz Core systems and products.

This is a diverse role covering systems that are used extensively by our internal EC&P teams; the variety of its responsibilities gives the Commercial Change (EC&P) Team a high-profile within the division so it is imperative that the role-holder can perform under pressure and meet deadlines that can be demanding.

About You

Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience with testing, business change or systems support and a working knowledge of Agile delivery would be desirable but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn on the job, adapt as ways of working change and take on new skills and toolsets as they become available
  • A keen eye and enthusiasm for the technical.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • A working knowledge of insurance and inspection processes and systems
  • Experience working with Coronet.
  • Quote, New Business, MTA and Renewals, plus associated product documentation is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications:
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum grade of C in Maths and English
  • If you have insurance experience you’ll have achieved CII qualifications or be able to demonstrate significant progress towards them
  • Ownership of ISTQB Foundation certification or willingness to work towards
