Commercial Claims Handler

An established independent broker in Rotherham are looking to add a Claims Handler to their growing team. The role will deal with commercial and some personal lines losses.

Daily Responsibilities:

• You will play an important role in the day-to-day handling of commercial insurance claims for a range of clients, ensuring a smooth transition through the process
• There will be an emphasis on commercial motor, property, liability and PI claims
• Maintain a live claims portfolio within the Acturis system
• You will liaise with insurers to ensure effective claims outcome and smooth handling of the claims in a professional manor
• Maintaining of all claim’s records aligned with the company’s best practices and SLA’s
• Preparation of claims reports for management and clients
• Handling complaints in line with our company complaints policy
• Support other needs of the business as required from time to time

Required Skills:

• Previous claims handling experience is essential, either as a trainee in commercial or personal lines
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Passionate approach to the delivery of market leading customer service
• Experience with Acturis is desirable, however full training will be provided
• Experience is using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

Salary for the role range from £27,000 to £33,000, plus 25 days holiday, pension and an annual bonus. There is full support for CII qualifications and free parking on-site.
