We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will identify sales leads, attend site visits, and compile bespoke sales proposals. This role is pivotal in achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and self-generate appointments to create sales opportunities.
- Attend site visits to survey premises and cultivate client relationships.
- Produce bespoke client proposals detailing specifications, costs, and terms & conditions.
- Ensure proposals and cost calculations result in deliverable and profitable solutions.
- Maintain client and proposal information in the CRM database.
- Close opportunities by obtaining signed contracts from prospective clients.
- Complete new contract summary sheets and hand over all details to operations.
- Work closely with staff across departments to ensure efficient service delivery, accurate billing, and cash collections.
- Quote for one-off and deep clean opportunities in addition to contractual opportunities.
- Assist with drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference materials, and other documents as required.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Identify new business tender opportunities and complete them as per requirements.
- Record all sales activities, statistics on win ratios, pipeline details, and other supporting information to enable strategies to be planned accordingly.
- Constantly look for new and innovative solutions to enhance our offering.
- Engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong communication, organisation, and project management skills.
- Committed team player, trustworthy, diligent, and self-motivated.
- High level of inputting accuracy and ability to organise own workload.
- Ability to reprioritise at short notice to meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to break down processes and suggest solutions.
- Has previous experience within the Commercial Cleaning industry with similar responsibilities.
