SalaryCommercial Contracts Partner
My client, a law firm with a strong track record, are looking for a senior level Commercial Contracts Solicitor to support senior and complex Commercial Contracts. The ideal candidate will be at Partner level, Managing Associate, Legal Director or the equivalent in-house experience.
This appointment will lead and support the workload for our national and high-profile client base, and grow the business further. This private practice have an excellent regional reputation and regularly pick up exciting work. This role could be based in the Nottingham, Leicester, Stafford or Birmingham regions.
Key Responsibilities
This role will receive exciting and interesting referrals of work internally from other departments, as well as providing some business development opportunities. There will also be the chance to provide coaching and mentoring to develop more junior members of the team and share your knowledge, experience and skill set. This role has the opportunity for exciting career development in its future.
Manage a varied Commercial Contracts caseload of complex matters that will include:
Drafting and negotiating a wide range of business-to-business contracts.
Drafting standard agreements including terms of sale and contracts of distribution and agency.
Drafting standard terms for sales to consumers.
Advising on data protection compliance including desktop audits and time-sensitive matters as they arise.
Ensure personal legal knowledge is kept up to date and new advancements are communicated to the wider team.
Be involved in the marketing and business development of both the department and the firm.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will have a minimum of 3 years PQE in a commercial law role.
- Preferably, have an excellent academic background.
- Possess exceptional client care skills.
- Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Be highly motivated and able to add value to the role.
- Be able to demonstrate proactive management of matters with a minimum of supervision.
- Be a team player and able to get on with others.
- Possess networking and client development skills.
- Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.
