Senior Finance Manager

We have an immediate opportunity for a market leading company based in West London, who are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to take full P&L responsibility for a key region within their business. This role is responsible for providing financial management, analysis, support, and control to the UK entities and will be involved in all financial aspects of the regional financial reporting, flash, budget, forecast and rolling three-year plan. Alongside financial reporting it is expected the role holder will be involved in business cases, bids and tenders and investment preparation and appraisal. It is also expected that the role will provide management with valuable insights into financial drivers to support better decision making and helping to improve business performance. You will also be responsible for managing and developing two direct reports. A competitive day rate is on offer along with a hybrid working pattern.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing expertise to ensure robust financial control and planning for the business units
• Maintaining the financial oversight for the business units
• Complete month end process for multiple locations in finance systems according to reporting deadlines.
• Ability to influence, challenge and implement change.
• Preparation and presentation of weekly flash, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and a rolling 3-year plan.
• Build relationships with the regional management teams, department managers and operational leads, implementing regular structured meetings.
• Analysis of location financials and KPIs
• Identification of opportunities and risks for the business units in the region.
• Proactively engage with station and divisional management to enhance understanding of their respective financials and assisting in optimising financial performance.
• Generate and present a range of financial and ad hoc reports for use by both internal and external customers.
• Financial lead for pricing proposals for new customers and preparation of capex papers.
• Ad hoc financial analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Experience of responsibility for full P&L
• Highly analytical with the ability to influence, challenge and implement change.
• Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
• Self-motivated, disciplined and with exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and prioritise multiple workloads.
• High Level of Integrity.
