Successful engineering business supporting defence and government sectors require a Commercial Officer. Applicants should have commercial, B2B experience supporting sales, procurement or similar commercial activity.
The Commercial Officer will be responsible for providing commercial support across a range of inflight and new projects. An exciting, end-to-end commercial role the Commercial Officer will work with both customer and supply chain partners. Internally, the Commercial Officer will collaborate with senior stakeholders.
Specific duties of the Commercial Officer include:
- Assist in the preparation of contractual agreements - NDAs, buy/sell, confidentiality etc.
- Review commercial and contractual agreements, and maintain contracts database
- Ongoing administration of contracts - capturing change management, amendments, negotiations, extensions etc.
- Support new business, bids and proposals activities from a commercial perspective
- Liaison with subcontractors and suppliers
- Process improvement activities around commercial contract management processes
Commercial Officer applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in; commercial, procurement, sales, projects or B2B activity
- Exposure to contracts or commercial agreements would be advantageous
- Strong IT skills and ability to use MS packages
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of governance and compliance
- Outgoing, self-sufficient, team player
