We are looking for an outstanding individual that will provide seamless support and additional capacity to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), across the breadth of their responsibilities.
This busy and exciting new role ensures the CEO has everything they need at their fingertips to drive forward our ambitious strategy to deliver help and hope for everyone affected by dementia.
The Advisor to the CEO understand the world in which the CEO operates. They will collaborate with trusted experts (internally and externally) to position the organisation to push for the changes we need to see. They’ll manage the internal running of the CEO’s office including all aspects of Executive Leadership Team meetings, governance and compliance, and learning and development.
This role is also responsible for the effective flow of communication in and out of the CEO’s office. They will ensure the CEO is fully briefed ahead of all business-critical meetings, and deliver research, reports, and speeches. They will ensure the CEO has everything she needs, that her time is used to best effect, and that priority work and relationships with donors, supports, influencers and other key stakeholders are managed to deliver great results.
About you
The CEO’s remit is broad – as are the requirements for this role. We are looking for someone with significant experience of advising at a leadership level, who may specialise in one area but also has skills and experience across many others. (Research, Policy, Influencing, Direct service provision, People/HR, IT, Finance, Events, Fundraising, Media/Marketing/Brand, Governance, Communications, Culture and Engagement).
Have you successfully designed and led major projects, programmes or campaigns? Do you have experience of advising senior leaders. Can you demonstrate strategic thinking, the ability to assimilate information and create effective recommendations - often in times of ambiguity?
We’re looking for someone who can prioritise requests and conflicting demands, make decisions on behalf of the CEO with regards to the best use of their time, and build inclusive and collaborative working environments and bringing people together to achieve shared goals.
You must have brilliant communication skills and be an outstanding relationship builder – able to engage professionally and successfully with a huge range of audiences.
You’ll need to be a super-charged multi-tasker, relishing juggling a busy and exciting workload that changes every day.
