Job Title:Commercial Estimating Manager

Location: Warton - on site

Salary: £61,100 - dependent on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

• Understanding business requirements and developing appropriate cost analysis and costing / pricing strategies
• Establishment of robust estimating & pricing plans and selection of effective and appropriate cost estimating methods to meet the pricing requirements
• Coordinating cost and pricing activities to ensure all aspects of the programme and associated risks are fully costed and considered
• Generating cost and pricing models to meet the needs of the programme and business requirements
• Leading price negotiations
• Collecting historical cost, programme and technical data from bids and actual programmes for use in near neighbour analysis
• Deliver briefings to senior stakeholders (both internal and external)

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• People Management experience
• Senior Stakeholder management and engagement (both internal and external)
• Currently operating within or has relevant operational/business experience in cost analysis, planning, forecasting or business modelling/analysis
• Advanced MS Excel skills to be utilised in modelling and analysis with an analytical mind set and investigative approach with excellent numeracy skills

Desirable:

• Educated to a degree standard e.g. Maths, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Economics or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and experience of working overseas in a Business environment

The AIR Commercial Estimating/Cost Analyst Team:

The Commercial Estimating teams are primarily responsible for the generation of all costs estimates and associated priced proposals in pursuit of new business opportunities. They also perform detailed data analysis of both Supplier and internal costs. Additionally, they are also involved in supporting the generation of cost estimates for business planning purposes such as IBP, Estimates at Completion (EAC's) and trade off studies etc.

The opportunities will allow individuals to experience how Commercial Estimating plays a fundamental role in securing future prospects and managing existing business.
