Salary Commercial Analyst - Fresh Produce Distribution
Henderson Brown, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Commercial Analyst to join a major player in the fresh produce distribution industry. The company supplies fresh produce and complementary products to various sectors.
About the Role:
As a Commercial Analyst, your role will be crucial in providing commercial support, reporting, and performance analysis to maximize business opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the divisional strategic plan. This involves centralizing and automating data from core sources, employing appropriate modelling and consolidation tools, and establishing strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to
* Support the Sales Director & Procurement Manager with commercial information and analysis.
* Develop and produce regular periodic sales and margin reporting across a matrix structure.
* Analyse performance and trends in sales and margin across branches, national contracts, and independent businesses.
* Develop and produce performance statistics for field-based Sales Reps and National Account Managers.
* Assist the Sales Director in developing commission scheme proposals for Sales Reps and Telesales teams.
* Calculate periodic sales commission payments.
* Conduct financial evaluations of new business bids and tenders.
* Develop reporting to support the new UK Procurement Manager.
* Analyse performance and trends in procurement, both centralised and locally owned.
* Identify risks and opportunities to the divisional strategic plan.
* Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar role, providing analysis and insight to key business stakeholders.
* Experience working within a fast-paced environment, ideally in FMCG or the food industry.
* Proficient in working with large amounts of data across multiple systems.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with VBA knowledge being desirable.
* Familiarity with BI reporting tools.
Qualifications:
* Relevant academic qualifications in business, finance, or a related field.
* Part-qualification in a relevant professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) is advantageous.
