SalaryChase & Holland have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join an innovative, forward-thinking business based in North Yorkshire. Our client has experienced rapid growth in recent years and need a Commercial Finance Managerto join their finance team, reporting directly into the Head of Commercial Finance. Commercial Finance Manager responsibilities:
- Business partnering, decision support and performance delivery
- Support and drive the Commercial team on tenders / promotions / competitive steal and business planning
- Inflation management and driving appropriate actions to recover through the sales team
- Identify opportunities to improve margin through pricing, and product development
- Evaluation of new range and promotional plans
- Customer margin management, providing insight & challenge
- Sales Margin management – analysis and driving action to improve
- Provision of timely and accurate facts with balanced and insightful information
- Improving commercial insight and analysis
- Providing ad-hoc reporting and financial modelling, giving insight to support the commercial agenda
Required skills & experience:
- You will ideally be a qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant or finalist level studier
- You will possess experience of financial analysis & reporting within a large turnover business
- Passionate business partner, able to explain the numbers clearly to Non-Financial Managers
- Strong interpersonal and IT (especially Excel) skills are essential
- Ideally have experience within FMCG/Retail/Manufacturing
- Be a dynamic, driven and development focused individual
- This role would also suit an experienced Management Accountant who is passionate about moving into a commercial setting
