ABPM Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic retail business who are looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join their team!
Amongst your key duties, the following exist:
- Handle all aspects of budgeting, including annual financial planning, regular forecasts, and risk management. Prepare comprehensive budgeting packs.
- Create sales and profit and loss reports including sales reporting, budget summaries, and cost analysis.
- Provide insightful analysis of sales, gross margin, and profitability drivers. Offer recommendations for profit enhancement.
- Actively participate in review meetings with internal teams, including budget/forecast updates, performance reviews, and cost control sessions.
- Contribute to the development of processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain and develop financial models, ensuring data integrity and delivering valuable insights for business decisions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA). Proven experience in finance management reporting against budgets/forecast updates within the retail, services or FMCG sectors.
- Understanding integrated ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex model building and maintenance.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and well-organized.
- Effective prioritization and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
- Commercially oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
