Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage their own work and jobs and deliver to high standards
- Responsible for service and maintenance of commercial heating systems and building services, reactive maintenance.
- To proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client)
- To undertake heating/combustion PPM work, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
- To undertake heating/combustion improvement work as required
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault-finding
- To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
- To undertake necessary repairs/replacement of defective pumps/valves/radiators/PUs. Including draining down and refilling heating systems
- Power flushing heating systems
- Maintain stock control system as directed
- Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms
- To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents/records/gas certificates are completed and sent to the office as required
- Be part of a OOH call out rota, attend emergency mechanical repair work
- Escalate issues to Supervisor and Contract Manager immediately
- Help the office team create quotations based on your reports, site surveys and information provided by yourself
- Provide information by answering questions and requests to engineers & clients
- Liaise with residents and clients as and when required about the works being undertaken
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order
- To stay up to date with all gas safety legislation and codes of practice involving your given discipline and provide this via tool box talks to operatives regularly
Knowledge & Skills
- 3-5 Years of industry experience
- Experience of working within the Social Housing sector on gas/renewable maintenance contracts.
- Have domestic ACS qualifications, CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1,CENWAT
- Water Regs
- Have asbestos awareness
- Have knowledge of the Risk Assessment process
- Be self-motivated
- A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required
- Previous use of our Job Management software SimPRO / BigChange
- Working within the renewables industry
- HIU experience
