Your new role
As Commercial Head of Finance, you will report to the Senior Director and will be responsible for driving all future sales activity and reviewing new contracts and business wins. This is an all-round commercial role leading a small team of quantity surveyors and commercial managers. You will oversee the operational commercials for bids, tenders, and new business. Review of current WIP and pipeline analysis of sales statistics to determine opportunities for business growth, budget setting, and controls to measure progress. Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations while maintaining focus on the company\'s strategic goals. Develops and/or maintains and improves business relations with all customers. The business sector is infrastructure, civil engineering and general building contracting on transport and renewable assets.
What you\'ll need to succeed
We are seeking a fully qualified candidate for this role with quantity surveying qualifications. In addition to your professional qualifications, excellent communication and presentation skills are essential in order to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to the success of our organisation. Furthermore, you must have a provable record of achievements in commercial management of projects or teams within the construction industry using the NEC form of contract within the construction, infrastructure, civil engineering or transport sectors.
