Commercial Lawyer

The Job Role:

An experienced general Commercial Lawyer with commercial, regulatory and IP experience. The role will support the wider legal requirements for NEXT and its various brands (which include Lipsy, Victoria’s Secret, GAP, Reiss, Joules, Made.com, Cath Kidston, FatFace).

Experience in the following areas is required:

• Contract Drafting
• Intellectual Property Law (non-contentious)
• Commercial Dispute Resolution
• Legal Compliance (consumer law)

You should also have some experience in, or an interest in developing skills in the following areas:

• Data Privacy, GDPR
• Intellectual Property Law (contentious)
• Competition law

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Solicitor or Barrister qualified in England & Wales
• Relevant PQE gained at a leading law firm
• Team player & a role model to the wider legal and compliance team
• Pragmatic and commercial
• Able to manage their own time and workload but knows when to ask for assistance/guidance
• Able to assist, collaborate with and manage legal assistants within the team
• Keen to learn and develop their legal and commercial skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces change
