Commercial Legal Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Law Assistant with bundles of drive and enthusiasm to join a successful and global organisation that have been trading for over 50 years.

You will be working with the companies Legal and Compliance Lawyer, providing support in the UK.

We are looking for a candidate with experience within commercial law who is looking for an opportunity to join a fast paced and busy commercial environment to gain experience within a wider role and global company.

• Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Legal Assistant:

• Conducting legal research
• Writing reports
• Providing admin support
• Organise diaries schedule meetings and respond to queries
• Drafting basic legal documents and update contract templates
• Collecting information
• Maintaining libraries and databases
• Document management/file organisation
• Using external tools and inserting information
• Crediting PowerPoint presentations
• Updating policies registering trademarks
• Monitoring legislation changes
• Drafting compliance meeting minutes

For this Commercial Legal Assistant role the employer is looking for:

• Minimum 2 years experience within a Commercial Law environment
• Familiarity with legal terminology and documentation
• Educated to Degree level within Law
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Advanced MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong commercial understanding
• Flexibility and excellent communication skills are crucial
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive and willing to take ownership of a broad range of tasks finding innovative solutions when needed
• Driving licence
