NC Associates are working on an exclusive basis with a leading and rapidly expanding group e-commerce business based in Speke to recruit a dynamic Commercial Accountant to help support the senior finance team in delivering robust financial information. The group business has grown considerably it really is exciting times!. As a Commercial Accountant you will also be involved in assisting the FD in process improvements and new system implementations along with various reporting to the senior management team.
Duties
- Responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts & variance analysis
- Work closely with the FD to develop and roll out the management pack and business partner with budget holders to drive efficiencies
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation with commentary
- Liaise with our external accountants on local filings and other statutory requirements
- Reconcile payment platforms
- Guide junior accounts staff in accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Posting of month end journals such as accruals, prepayments, payroll
- Prepare quarterly VAT Returns
- Automate and publish weekly rolling cashflow statements for review
- Produce monthly rolling P&L forecasts
- Help implement and manage new stock accounting systems and processes
- Implement various processes to create compliance
To be successful in your application for this role you MUST have the following experience.
Essential Experience Required
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified ideally with 1-2 years PQE
- Advance Excel & modelling skills
- E-commerce experience is preferred but not essential
- Highly passionate about all things finance and wanting to continuously improve on the ‘status quo’
- Be super organised and have the ability to work in a start-up environment
- Show initiative and be proactive when it comes to problem solving
- Be a team player
